We got this little xylophone/hammer toy for Ian for his birthday. J saw it in a catalog sent out by our local toy store months ago and knew he must have it. I made the drive to Knoxville, coupon in tow (yay for coupons!) only to find that they didn't have it in stock. Grrr. A few months later we got another catalog, and this time I called - no, they didn't have it in stock - no, they weren't sure when they would have it.
Then don't advertise for it, folks.
Alas, the little man NEEDED this toy.
And then there was Amazon. Notably, for much cheaper, too.
His birthday came to pass, and he unwrapped his presents. The xylophone toy was glanced at for a moment before being ignored.
But ha! He figured it out!
We knew he would like it!!!
And then it occurred to me. We have taught our child how to use a hammer. Oh my.
PS - the red ball is currently MIA. I'm convinced Phoebe stole it.
