Family Photos

A few weeks ago we had some family photos taken, a first for us. We were very lucky to have them taken by long time friend Maggie Martin, who is a photographer specializing in taking family pictures. Maggie and I go way back to 1992 (how can that have been 20 years ago?) in the times of 6th grade, yo.

To be honest, I had been putting the whole family photo thing off.  I love taking pictures (especially of Ian), but I don't care too much the other side of the camera. I always feel super self conscious. The only posed picture I have ever felt was any good was my drivers license photo from 2003. It's seriously a pretty good photo of me, I've had complete strangers comment on this. Oh, my wedding photos were good, too.

Anyway, Maggie came over, I swallowed my anxiousness, and photos were taken. We were able to take them in the back yard when the azalea blooms peaked.

We couldn't be more pleased with the results. It turned out to be a lot of fun - Maggie made us feel completely at ease.

I can't stop looking at them.

We clean up right nice, don't you think?

I couldn't decide which ones to put on here, so I just decided to put almost all of them up.

Isn't Ian just the most delicious thing you've ever seen?

Thank you, Maggie. I am SO glad we did this.

If you live in the area and are thinking about having some photos taken,  you can find her contact info at her website Maggie Martin Photography.
